My experience at Queen Mary's Hospital today was very informative. Dr Hugh Jones is a very professional Doctor. Listens intensely to any concerns you may have. Advice given if needed. I felt in very capable hands. He is an amazing Doctor
I have been receiving services for Glaucoma for more than a year now and have always found everybody very helpful.
The light treatment nurses are great. They are caring, friendly and often help me with samples of skin creams. The first time I saw Dr. M in dermatology, she was thorough, friendly and seemed very concerned about finding the best treatment for my skin problem. However, when I saw her again today, her attitude changed. Gone was the investigative, thorough and forthcoming doctor. She hardly spoke to me about my skin issues and ongoing treatment. The only advice I got was that I had to buy skin cream, I guess as apposed to getting samples from the nurses in the light clinic. She does NOT know my financial situation!! I felt rushed and dismissed. Care and customer service should be consistent. Today's appointment left me feeling agitated and generally out of sorts.
I really like this hospital. It is clean and friendly, and always calm.
Despite it's somewhat daunting size, Queen Mary's maintains a comfortable atmosphere with plenty of parking space, good signage and helpful staff.
It is my preferred hospital in my home area.
This seems to be a well organised, clean and modern hospital based on recent experience and I did not have to wait too long to see the Doctor, have xrays, and blood tests.
A clean well maintained hospital.
I have attended both Queen Mary's and also Kingston General and find that the ambience of Queen Mary's is far more calm and also spacious.
Because of my mobility problems Q.M. parking facilities are far more convenient.
(I appreciate that Q.M. is a far more modern Hospital, whereas Kingston has evolved and grown over many years).
The hospital is always clean and the staff are always pleasant.
Staff are always friendly, and whilst I waited an hour to see the doctor yesterday, last time I had an appointment I complained as I left that I harden had time to read a magazine, timing was so prompt ( it was a joke).
New and clean hospital.
